2023年3月9日，应福建海洋可持续发展研究院张增凯教授邀请，现任《自然》杂志高级学术编辑夏玚编辑在厦门大学翔安校区开设了题为“顶刊发文解密”的专题讲座。本次讲座由张增凯教授主持。

讲座中，夏玚编辑首先介绍了《自然》杂志及其下属子刊的视野和重点关注的研究方向，引出不同类型刊物的投稿内容要求。而后，她对顶刊写作通常遵循的三大原则进行了详解，包括故事线与话题的选择、论文各部分撰写的要点以及专业化的语言。随后，她通过具体的案例分析介绍了《自然》杂志常见的文章框架，并提供了可借鉴的论文写作过程。最后，她对学术论文审稿流程作了详细说明，并解释了如何回复编辑修改建议等问题。

本次讲座共吸引了一百余名师生现场参加。讲座结束后，夏玚编辑和张增凯老师还分别与现场的师生进行了互动交流，对学生提出的疑惑进行解答。

On March 9, Senior Editor of Nature Xia Yang delivered a lecture on “Demystifying Publishing in Top-Tier Journals” at Xiamen University Xiang’an campus. She was invited by Prof. Zhang Zengkai of FISO, who hosted the lecture.

In the lecture, Editor Xia Yang began by introducing the focus areas of Nature and Nature research journals, while explaining different requirements for different types of journals. She then illustrated the three principles in academic writing — story, content and argument, and language. By analyzing Nature’s published articles, she provided students with examples of academic writing framework and process. She also explained how the articles are reviewed and provided suggestions on replying to editors’ suggestions.

More than 100 students and faculties attended the lecture. Editor Xia Yang and Prof. Zhang Zengkai closed the lecture by a Q&A session with the participants.
